Cramerton Veterans Memorial
Construction on the Cramerton Veterans Memorial is scheduled to begin in September 2018 and will be completed for a dedication ceremony scheduled for Veterans Day, November 10th 2018.
The memorial will be located in Centennial Center at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Center Street and will feature brick columns honoring the branches of the military, Cramerton residents and their service, the story of Cramer Mills and their involvement during wartime, and recognition of donors. These will be surrounding the centerpiece of a life size bronze statue of soldier and his daughter saluting the American Flag proudly flying at Cramerton Town Hall
Centennial Center Pocket Park/Bike Area
Construction on a pocket park in Centennial Center will begin in September of 2018 and is scheduled for completion in November of 2018. This pocket park will include a seating wall, two decorative bike racks, a bike fix-it station graciously donated by a Cramerton Resident and a tri-level water fountain also graciously donated by Cramerton Residents.
The pocket park will be located on the corner of Center Street and 8th Avenue.
Goat Island Greenway Extension
Construction began in September 2018 on the Goat Island Greenway Extension. The trail head will be located at 305 Greenwood Place (Goat Island Parking Lot). The trail will be roughly a one-mile connection between the Goat Island Greenway and the current greenway located at the South Fork Village Apartments with future plans to connect into McAdenville to create one continuous connection from Downtown Cramerton to Downtown McAdenville.
The Goat Island Greenway Extension will parallel the South Fork River and will run underneath Wilkinson Boulevard. This greenway is park of the Carolina Thread Trail Network and is scheduled for completion in late 2018/early 2019.
