Float the Fork

Saturday, January 6 at Centennial Center River Access – 12:00pm

Did you get a new kayak or SUP board for Christmas this year that you’re just itching to try out?  Or are you just wanting to start your new year out the right way?  Or are you from Antarctica and want that comfy feeling of home?

Whatever the reason, join us for our Frosty Float the Fork on January 6 at noon!  This will be the first group paddle of the year in Cramerton and we want everyone to join in the fun!  We know this one will be a little (or a lottle) colder than the others so we will just do a nice lap or two around Goat Island and the head to a local joint indoors to warm up.

Our intention is to make our Float the Fork’s a series of seasonal group paddles for everyone to enjoy.  Each on having it’s own theme and this one is no different.  Experience the South Fork River in the dead of winter and prepare to be amazed by its beauty when the trees are bare and the air is crisp!

We will begin check in at the Goat Island Bridge at 11:30am.

Saturday, April 7 at Centennial Center River Access – 10:00am

Join us for a beautiful spring paddle.  This is another free, bring your own boat community event.  Our intention with the spring paddle is to tour all of our river access and fishing piers in Cramerton from the water so all you awesome paddlers are comfotable hitting the water by yourselves all spring, summer, and fall!

We will meet and put in the river at the Centennial Center River Access beside the Cramerton Fire Departmetn (141 8th Avenue).  We will paddle upstream to the Wilkinson Boulevard Bridge to tour all the new River Access and Fishing Piers we have built in Cramerton along the South Fork.  We will then float back down the Centennial Center to allow paddlers who need a break the chance to take out of the river.

For those paddlers feeling extra spunky, we will continue down river to tour the Riverside Park and Baltimore River Access and Fishing Pier.  We will then paddle back to Centennial Center where everyone can relax on Goat Island or enjoy some much needed post paddle grub and hydration downtown!

We will begin check in at the Goat Island Bridge at 9:30am.

Saturday, November 3 at Centennial Center Access – 9:00am

Start our all new South Fork Celebration off right… on the waters of the South Fork!

Join us for our fourth and final group paddle of the year on the South Fork River! This paddle is a local favorite as we take in the beautiful colors of the fall foliage!

We will put in the water at the Centennial Center River Access and paddle upstream to the McAdenville Dam and float back down to Centennial Center as a group.  The McAdenville Dam is the only rival to our beautiful Goat Island Bridge as the most picturesque scene on the South Fork River with the fire blaze of the fall leaves as the backdrop… and you will get to see both on this trip!

We will begin check in at the Goat Island Bridge at 8:30am.
