It is the mission of Cramerton Fire Department to save life, conserve property, promote public safety, and stabilize any incident in which we respond to. It is the charge of every member to adhere to this mission and strive to complete it.
Fire Chief Lance Foulk
Lance Foulk has 32 years of experience in the fire service and has been the part time Fire Chief of the Cramerton Fire Department since September of 2011. Lance also works full time as the Division Chief of Training for the Charlotte Fire Department where his responsibilities also include the management of the Charlotte Fire Department Honor Guard and the Charlotte Fire Department Pipes and Drums band. Lance grew up in Belmont and graduated from Appalachian State University in 1992 with a B.S. in Industrial Technology. Lance also graduated in 2000 from Central Piedmont Community College with an A.A. in Fire Protection Technology. Lance is a member of the NC Association of Fire Chief’s and the North Carolina State Fireman’s Association. Lance has also received the Chief Fire Officer Designation from the Center for Public Safety and Excellence. Lance is a NC Level II Fire Instructor with specialty certifications in live burn, RIT, LP Gas, and SCBA. Lance also serves as an instructor at the NC Breathing Equipment School held at Gaston College yearly. Lance lives in Cramerton and is married to Leslie who works at US Airways and has two daughters, Taylor and Campbell. Lance and his family also attend The Pointe Church in Belmont.
Assistant Chief Barry Wilson
Barry Wilson has 32 years of experience in the fire service and has been the Assistant Chief of the Cramerton Fire Department since May 2012. Barry also works full time as a Captain on Rescue 1 at the Gastonia Fire Department. Barry graduated from South Point High School in 1987. Barry also graduated from Gaston College in 1996 with an A.A. in Fire Protection Technology and a additional A.A. in Emergency Preparedness. Barry is a NC Level II Fire Instructor with specialty certifications in live burn, LP Gas, RIT, SCBA, Hazardous Materials, Trench Rescue, Confined Space, High Angle Rescue and Structural Collapse. Barry also serves as an instructor at the NC Breathing Equipment School held at Gaston College yearly. Barry lives in Cramerton and is married to Stacey who owns The Dance House dance studio and has one child, Maddy.
Captain Alex Hardee
Alex Hardee has 10 years of fire service experience starting his career in 2007 with the Belmont Fire Department as a volunteer. In 2009, he was hired into a full-time position with the Belmont Fire Department. In 2014 he was promoted to Captain at Belmont Fire Department and is still serving in that aspect to this day. Alex graduated high school from Highland School of Technology in 2008 and moved on to a fast track to obtaining a career in the fire service. In addition to completing his A.A. in Fire Protection Technology at Gaston College, he has completed Fire Officer I and II and is a NC qualified instructor. He holds certifications in Structural Collapse, Vehicle Motor Rescue, Rope Technician, Aerial Operator, Driver Operator, Emergency Vehicle Driver, and is a NC Emergency Medical Technician. Alex has also participated in the NC Breathing Equipment School at Gaston College. Alex lives in Cramerton with his wife Erica and has been a part of the Cramerton Fire Department since 2012.
Captain Kevin Rink
Kevin began his fire service career as a volunteer firefighter at Apex Fire Department in 1995. After graduating from Western Carolina University, Kevin began working as a full time firefighter with Apex in 2001. In 2003, he began his career with Charlotte Fire Department where he achieved the rank of Fire Captain and also began volunteering at McAdenville Volunteer Fire Department attaining the rank of Deputy Chief. Kevin has certifications in EMT, Firefighter II, Fire Officer II, Fire Service Instructor, Swift Water Rescue Technician, Driver\Operator, Rescue Technician and Hazardous Materials Operations. Kevin is married and has two children and one child due in November 2012 and lives in McAdenville.
Captain Travis Williamson
Travis Williamson has 12 years of experience in the fire service. Travis also is a full time firefighter for the City of Belmont. Travis has certifications in EMT, Firefighter II, Fire Officer I and II, Leadership I, II, and III, Driver/Operator, and Rescue Technician, and Hazardous Materials Operations. Travis graduated from South Point High School in 1995. Travis lives in the Belmont area with his wife Kim and 3 kids Courtney, Travis and Shannon Williamson.
