NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS:
The Town of Cramerton has started a “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” initiative. “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” is the Town’s public volunteer project utilizing community volunteers to improve the exterior appearance and/or functionality of a qualifying home whose owner is unable to make such improvements. The projects are selected and managed by the Cramerton Community Committee. These projects may include, but are not limited to yard work, minor exterior home repairs, exterior wheelchair ramps and handrails.
The Cramerton Community Committee will select up to two eligible homeowners per year to receive assistance.

CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD:
Citizen of the Year Award: The Town of Cramerton will recognize an individual who has gone above and beyond in their selfless service to our community or demonstrated extraordinary acts of kindness or bravery over the past 12 months with their Citizen of the Year Award. Do you know someone who fits this description? The deadline to send your nominations to the Town is September 15, 2017. The Cramerton Community Committee will gather all nominations and select the winner for 2017. If you know one or more people who are deserving of this award, please review the guidelines and complete the nomination form.

LIFETIME CITIZEN SERVICE AWARD:
The Town of Cramerton wants to recognize members of our community who have devoted a lifetime of service to our town with a Citizen Lifetime Service Award. The deadline to get nomination forms into the Town is September 15, 2017. The Cramerton Community Committee will gather all nominations and select the winner for 2017. If you know one or more people who are deserving of this award, please review the guidelines and complete the nomination form. Cramerton has so many wonderful and deserving people, it will be a difficult choice!

HOLIDAY GARBAGE AND RECYCLING SCHEDULE – GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 14, 2017
The Waste Management garbage and recycling pick ups scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2017 will not be affected by the holiday. Town Hall, Public Works, and the Parks and Recreation Department will be closed in observance of Good Friday.
A comprehensive transportation plan is a multi-modal transportation plan designed to identify transportation needs over the next 25 to 30 years. The CTP includes community consensus on future transportation needs required to support anticipated growth and development. It is a multi-modal plan that identities the future transportation system needs and includes highways, public transportation, rail, bicycle, and pedestrian improvements needed to serve the anticipated travel demand. Comments may be submitted until October 25th.
